Set in Italy during WWII, American Army Col. Richard Cantwell, is a bona fide war hero who faces news of his terminal illness with stoic disregard. Determined to spend his weekend in quiet solitude, he commandeers a military driver to facilitate what is likely a final duck hunting trip and visit to his old haunts in Venice.

Cyber security multi-millionaire and life-long sailor, Harry Towers, lives a life shrouded in secrecy. On his 50 th birthday, he escapes his office to spend the day with the passion of his life, an 80 foot motor sailor named “Irene”. Amused by a motley crew loitering at the docks soliciting work, Towers jauntily agrees to hire them for an excursion from Miami to the Florida Keys.

In the noir tradition of CHINATOWN and L.A. CONFIDENTIAL, ANGEL’S FLIGHT, written by Jill Isaacs, is based on the true story of the dismantling and ultimate demise of the Pacific Electric Company. Once one of the mightiest urban transit systems in existence, by the 1950s their Big Red Cars stockpiled junkyards to give way to Los Angeles’ wide boulevards and automobile-filled highways.
